PRESTON CAN CRAWL!!

Yes, it's true, Preston has spent this week perfecting his crawling skills! What a clever boy :) He scuttles around on his feet instead of his knees, so I assume once he becomes an expert he will figure out he can use his knees to crawl on. He can go around the lounge quite easily, and even over obstacles, such as toys and other babies and even our cat when they get in his way :)

Our poor kitty is being so good and puts up with such a lot - until now she has known she is reasonably safe from him as he wasn't able to get her if she sat far enough away. So she got an enormous fright yesterday when he charged her!!! He is so intrigued by her and her long fur, and loves to grab handfuls of it. I just can't believe that she hasn't swiped him yet....I know there will be tears sometime soon when her special tolerance towards him runs out.

Preston has been having lots of fun playing with the other babies in our group - they all interact so cutely now and it is so amazing watching them playing and talking to each other. So cute!!

Went to Plunket last week for a weigh and measure: Preston is now 7.5kg and 67.5cm tall. He is sprouting out of his clothes - we are now in 6-9 month clothes. It's crazy how fast they grow out of everything!

Preston is an eskimo! I just finished making this hooded top - I got the pattern from a place in Norway, and it is really snuggly! Preston will be nice and warm on these chilly days now. 

Preston is my clothing model :) My baby clothes enterprise is going well - and wouldn't you want to buy something if it made your baby look this cute???? (if anyone reading my blog is interested in buying bargain priced designer baby clothes, email me! belinda@absolutehealth.co.nz) 

Preston is 6 months old! So what do 6 month old babies do? Play XBox of course! 

Look at my fancy new toy! I can stay in here for ages and give mummy and daddy some time to do their work!

I've been putting his toys just out of reach to encourage Preston to move around to get what he wants by himself. 

Pretty good crawling stance!!! A few more days and I think he will have it mastered.  

Fallen over after trying to crawl... 

Our cat is Preston's favourite thing (apart from Mummy and Daddy). He is so curious about her and talks to her whenever she walks by and laughs and flaps his arms and tries to pat her. I'm so impressed with how well she copes with him - she is mostly scared and tries to escape, but she has never tried to scratch him. Yet. I know it will eventually end in tears, but I'm sure they will become good friends! 

Preston is almost big enough for shoulder rides with daddy!
