Adventures at the Hospital

Well Wednesday was an interesting day. My bleeding was getting really bad on Tuesday, so I called up the clinic I went to on Monday and they referred me to the main hospital for the Women's Assessment Clinic. Seeing as Monday's visit to the hospital took hours, I decided to wait until Wednesday which is my day off before going along.

So off I went, and I ended up spending most of the day at the hospital - they gave me my own room with amazing views out across the city and out to sea, and it was a beautiful day. I was even included in the lunch rounds!

But despite being concerned about bleeding, they really couldn't tell me much. I had a blood test and had to wait hours and hours for the results - and my hormone levels had doubled and doubled again since my test last week, so that is about right. In the end, the doctors were satisfied with that and didn't think I was at any immediate risk of miscarriage so finally sent me home. I have an ultrasound booked for Monday to make sure everything is still ok.

The bleeding has definitely got much better now, and I still think it was a result of being poked and prodded with all sorts of large instruments at the ultrasound.

Hopefully all is ok :)
